This work presents a revolutionary compact wideband multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna. The working mechanism of the dual-antenna is investigated based on S-parameters and surface current distributions. The prototype demonstrates a measured -10dB impedance bandwidth of 6.8 GHz and mutual coupling below 15 dB throughout the entire band. A clearance area of 30 mm x 20 mm can be achieved. MIMO parameters such as ECC, DG, CCL, and multiplexing efficiency are explored to ensure the diversity performance of the proposed MIMO antenna.
This work presents a revolutionary compact wideband multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna. On the basis of the S-parameters and the surface current distributions, the working mechanism of the dual-antenna is investigated. The measured - 10dB impedance bandwidth is 6.8 GHz, and the measured mutual coupling is less than 15 dB throughout the whole band, according to a prototype. It is possible to attain a clearance area of 30 mm x 20 mm. To ensure the diversity performance of the proposed MIMO antenna, MIMO parameters such as ECC, DG, CCL, and multiplexing efficiency are explored.
