Nerve-sparing laparoscopic disc excision of deep endometriosis involving the bowel: a single-center experience on 371 consecutives cases

Summary: In this study, laparoscopic disc excision was found to be an effective surgical treatment for selected residual rectal nodules < 3.0 cm in bowel endometriosis. The concomitant radical DE excision contributed to a significant improvement of symptoms with an acceptable complications' rate. The study showed an improvement of all symptoms postoperatively and a pregnancy rate of 42.2% among patients with childbearing desire.
