Active Regulation of Supramolecular Chirality through Integration of CdSe/CdS Nanorods for Strong and Tunable Circular Polarized Luminescence

Rongjuan Liu et al.

Summary: The cooperativity between achiral CdSe/CdS nanorods (NRs) and chiral perylene diimide (PDI)-based molecules is built upon their coassembly. The encapsulation of NRs into PDI suprascrolls enables chirality transfer and leads to enhanced circularly polarized luminescence. The chirality of the nanocomposites can be inverted when NRs are self-assembled into chiral superlattices.

Core-Shell Three-Dimensional Perovskite Nanocrystals with Chiral-Induced Spin Selectivity for Room-Temperature Spin Light-Emitting Diodes

Chuying Ye et al.

Summary: We developed type-II core-shell nanocrystals with a chiral low-dimensional perovskite shell and an achiral 3D MAPbBr(3) core. The core-shell nanocrystals exhibit spin-polarized luminescence and circularly polarized luminescence, which is controlled by the chiral-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect. The spin-polarized light-emitting diode (spin-LED) also achieved circularly polarized electroluminescence under ambient conditions.

Chiral-Induced Ultrathin Covalent Organic Frameworks Nanosheets with Tunable Circularly Polarized Luminescence

Hao Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, ultrathin chirCOFs NS with strong and tunable CPL were prepared using a chiral induced-synthesis strategy. The chirCOFs/Dyes showed strong chirality and increased and tunable photoluminescence, exhibiting excellent, tunable, and amplified CPL performance. The corresponding chirCOFs NS were dispersed into a PDMS matrix to form transparent, large size, and flexible COFs/PDMS films for practical CPL application.

Solution-processed green and blue quantum-dot light-emitting diodes with eliminated charge leakage

Yunzhou Deng et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates high quantum efficiency and excellent stability of green and blue QD-LEDs. By using hole-transport polymers with low electron affinity and reduced energetic disorder, electron leakage at the organic/inorganic interface is successfully eliminated. This research is expected to provide a general strategy for eliminating charge leakage in solution-processed LEDs featuring organic/inorganic interfaces.

Turn-On Circularly Polarized Luminescence in Metal-Organic Frameworks

Xue-Zhi Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a family of homochiral metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and metal-organic cages (MOCs) were constructed by solvothermal subcomponent self-assembly. The homochiral MOFs showed clear CPL signals, while the CPL of homochiral MOCs was silent. Despite having similar spectra of circular dichroism and photoluminescence, the CPL activity of MOFs and MOCs differed.

Biao Zhao et al.

Summary: Chiral perovskites with circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) performance have attracted significant attention. A convenient and universal strategy for constructing chiral helical polymer/perovskite hybrid nanofibers with outstanding CPL properties has been reported in this contribution. The prepared hybrid nanofibers exhibit good long-time stability in air and intense CPL emissions, with the emission color easily tunable by adjusting the precursors of perovskites, providing an efficient technique for various kinds of CPL-active perovskite nanomaterials for both scientific research and future practical applications.
