INSECT IMMUNE EVASION BY DAUER AND NONDAUER ENTOMOPATHOGENIC NEMATODES

Nancy Lara-Reyes et al.

Summary: The study found that L2-L3 larvae of parasitic nematodes can penetrate the exoskeleton, evade the insect immune system, and kill the host, activating more granular hemocytes compared to DL larvae. Further research is needed to compare facultative and specialized EPNs in order to understand how they evade insect defense mechanisms.
