In situ atomic-scale observation of size-dependent (de) potassiation and reversible phase transformation in tetragonal FeSe anodes

Summary: This study reveals, for the first time, the potassiation/depotassiation mechanisms of tetragonal FeSe nanoflakes in potassium-ion batteries through in situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. It is found that the intercalation behavior and structural evolutions differ among nanoflakes of different sizes. Small-sized nanoflakes exhibit better cycling performance with well-maintained structural integrity.

Crystal Facet and Architecture Engineering of Metal Oxide Nanonetwork Anodes for High-Performance Potassium Ion Batteries and Hybrid Capacitors

In this study, crystal facet and architecture engineering of metal oxides are used to enhance the potassium ion storage performance. This study proposes a promising avenue to design advanced hierarchical nanostructures for potassium ion batteries and hybrid capacitors.
