Virtualized Gamified Pharmacy Simulation during COVID-19

Summary: This article discusses how an international consortium of universities implemented gamified pharmacy simulation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and how Griffith University in Australia virtualized their Pharmacy Game. The use of various technologies and software platforms allowed for successful delivery of gamified simulation in virtual and hybrid environments.

Summary: This study investigated users' experiences and usage of a virtual patient for teaching non-vitamin K oral anticoagulant patient education. The majority of users viewed the virtual patient as a complementary resource to other education and training, providing reinforcement of knowledge, opportunities for reflection, and application of knowledge to clinical practice.
