Highly conductive calcium ion-reinforced MXene/sodium alginate aerogel meshes by direct ink writing for electromagnetic interference shielding and Joule heating

Summary: In this study, an aqueous MXene/sodium alginate ink was used to print aerogel meshes with customized geometries using a direct ink writing approach. The printed aerogel meshes were reinforced by an ion-enhanced strategy, resulting in excellent EMI shielding performance, electrical conductivity, and mechanical properties. Additionally, the printed aerogel meshes can function as a Joule heater, achieving a wide temperature range.

Fabrication of doped ?-tricalcium phosphate bioceramics by Direct Ink Writing for bone repair applications

Summary: Beta-tricalcium phosphate (beta-TCP) is a promising biomaterial for bone regeneration. In this study, macroporous scaffolds were printed using co-doped beta-TCP powders and the Direct Ink Writing process. The co-doped samples exhibited higher thermal stability, densification, and mechanical properties compared to undoped beta-TCP. The printed scaffolds showed reduced macropores and microcracks, improved compressive strengths and densities, and significantly higher values compared to literature data.
