Design and analysis of an efficient machine learning based hybrid recommendation system with enhanced density-based spatial clustering for digital e-learning applications

S. Bhaskaran et al.

Summary: A decision-making system plays a crucial role in data mining, and e-learning is considered a progressive approach for education. However, the diverse nature of online learners poses challenges to traditional one-size-fits-all learning systems. This research focuses on designing new strategies to improve the performance of a hybrid personalized recommender system, and experimental results on various public datasets demonstrate its effectiveness.

A Method for Optimal Detection of Lung Cancer Based on Deep Learning Optimized by Marine Predators Algorithm

Xinrong Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, an optimal methodology utilizing image processing, deep learning, and metaheuristic for early detection of lung cancer was proposed. A new convolutional neural network was designed for this purpose, along with the use of Marine Predators Algorithm for optimal arrangement and increased network accuracy. Results showed that the proposed method based on MPA achieved higher efficiency and lower error rate compared to current state-of-the-art methods, with an accuracy of 93.4%, sensitivity of 98.4%, and specificity of 97.1%.
