Promotional effect of ion-exchanged K on the low-temperature hydrothermal stability of Cu/SAPO-34 and its synergic application with Fe/Beta catalysts

Chen Wang et al.

Summary: The introduction of potassium ions into Cu/SAPO-34 catalysts via ion exchange improves their stability during low-temperature hydrothermal aging. The catalysts with potassium loading exhibit improved structure, acidity, and active site conservation after hydrothermal aging. A combined system of Fe/Beta and potassium-loaded Cu/SAPO-34 catalysts shows potential for NO(x) elimination in real-world applications.

Low temperature oxidation of CO using alkali- and alkaline-earth metal-modified ceria-supported metal catalysts: a review

Jyoti Waikar et al.

Summary: This review discusses the complete oxidation of CO using alkali- and alkaline-earth metal (AM/AEM)-modified ceria supported/mixed with noble metal and non-noble metal (NM). The modifications lead to the formation of oxygen vacancies in ceria, decreasing the activation barrier for CO and O-2. While modifications with NM facilitate CO oxidation at lower temperatures, modifications with noble metal lead to the formation of superoxy and peroxy species, resulting in comparable oxidation activity. The mechanism for CO oxidation is explained in detail with correlations to characterizations.

Insights into Nickel-Based Dual Function Materials for CO2 Sorption and Methanation: Effect of Reduction Temperature

Pu Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, a Ni/CeO2 catalyst was prepared with reduced temperature significantly decreased to 300 degrees C, exhibiting high CO2 conversion and CH4 selectivity. The (Li-Na-K)NO3-MgO-Ni/CeO2-phy DFMs constructed showed impressive CO2 uptake and CH4 yield at 300 degrees C, providing a promising alternative to Ru-based DFMs with comparable CO2 sorption capacity and methanation activity.
