Spatial-temporal dynamic evaluation of the ecosystem service value from the perspective of production-living-ecological spaces: A case study in Dongliao River Basin, China

Aoyang Wang et al.

Summary: The ecosystem service value of the Dongliao River Basin has undergone significant changes due to changes in land use and human activities. The expansion of ecological space and reduction of production space have contributed to an increase in the ecosystem service value of the area.

Analyzing ecological environment change and associated driving factors in China based on NDVI time series data

Luguang Jiang et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the changes in China's ecological environment over the past 20 years using long-term NDVI data, revealing that approximately one-third of the country has seen improvements while 10% has experienced deterioration. Provinces such as Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Guizhou, and Guangxi have shown the most significant improvements. Forestry projects and oasis agriculture development have effectively promoted the enhancement of the ecological environment in certain areas.

An analysis of land use conflict potentials based on ecological-production-living function in the southeast coastal area of China

Lilin Zou et al.

Summary: This study constructed a spatial identification and intensity diagnosis model of potential land use function conflicts based on the ecological-production-living perspective of sustainable development, and found that there were potential conflicts in different land use functions in the study area. Management strategies should be tailored according to spatial distribution, manifestation, and conflict degree. The model and index developed in this study can accurately reflect the actual situation of land use in fast-growing areas, providing valuable references for land space planning and management.

Coupling coordination degree of production, living and ecological spaces and its influencing factors in the Yellow River Basin

Jiangsu Li et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the coordinated development state of production, living, and ecological spaces (PLES) in the Yellow River Basin by estimating the coupling coordination degree (CCD), and found that influencing factors include altitude, slope, temperature, precipitation, economy, and population. The promotion effects of climatic and economic factors intensified over time, while the inhibition effect of precipitation also increased over time. Policy suggestions for land-use optimization in this ecologically fragile area were proposed.
