Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Beef Cattle Breeding Based on the Ecological Cycle Model

Summary: With the improvement of the quality of life, the supply of beef has become increasingly available. However, the impact of massive agricultural greenhouse gas emissions on the environment cannot be ignored. This study compares the annual greenhouse gas emissions of 10 million heads of beef cattle under the ecological cycle model and the non-ecological cycle model. The results show that the non-ecological cycle model produces almost 4 times more emissions than the ecological cycle model. This study demonstrates that the transformation of beef cattle breeding models has a significant impact on reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.

Factor allocation structure and green-biased technological progress in Chinese agriculture
