Cement filled with phosphorescent materials for pavement: Afterglow decay mechanism and properties

Wentong Wang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the impact of luminescent powder (LP) content on the mechanical properties, brightness, and afterglow of self-luminescent cement-based composite materials (SLCCM), as well as the related reaction mechanisms. The results showed that the LP content had a certain effect on the mechanical strength of SLCCM specimens, with low LP content limiting the luminous area and high LP content leading to changes in chemical reactions. The optimal LP content range was found to be 20-25wt%.
