Applying Rasch methodology to examine and enhance precision of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale

Summary: In this study, the Rasch methodology was used to examine and enhance the psychometric properties of the EPDS. The results showed that the EPDS met the expectations of the unidimensional Rasch model after internal modifications. The use of ordinal-to-interval conversion tables derived from the Rasch model can improve the precision of the EPDS.

The Co-Development of Generativity and Well-Being Into Early Late Life

Summary: This study replicates and extends existing research on generativity in later adulthood, examining individual differences in generativity development into early late life and the relationship between generativity development and well-being development into late midlife and early late life. The results show substantial rank-order stability of generativity in the sample, with no mean-level change but significant variability in both stability and change. Furthermore, there was a robust concurrent relationship between generativity and well-being, with meaningful correlated change over time.

Prosociality Across Adulthood: A Developmental and Motivational Perspective
