Iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm is a common vascular complication of angiographic procedures. Patients with uncomplicated pseudoaneurysms can be treated using ultrasound-guided techniques, while complicated pseudoaneurysms require surgical repair. This report presents a case of successful repair of a complicated pseudoaneurysm using a Perclose ProGlide(TM) access-site closure device, without the need for surgical intervention.
Iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm is common vascular complications of angiographic procedures. Patients with uncomplicated pseudoaneurysms can be managed with ultrasound-guided techniques. However, for complicated pseudoaneurysms, surgical repair of the artery is mandatory. We report a case of successful repair of complicated pseudoaneurysm using an access-site closure device, Perclose ProGlide (TM) without a surgical approach.
