The racial constitution of neoliberalism

Summary: The prevailing scholarship on neoliberalism fails to acknowledge its distinctive forms of racial domination. Influential analysts argue that racism persists due to incomplete defeat of racial legacies, ignoring how racism is reconfigured in ways specific to neoliberalism and dependent on its intellectual and political foundations. Neoliberalism's reliance on racial ideas to manage its own contradictions and boundaries of labor forms is highlighted through Friedrich Hayek's theory of cultural evolution.
