Summary: With the rapid urbanization, the disorderly expansion of land use for urban construction has posed a challenge for many countries in planning urban land use scale and controlling urban sprawl from the perspective of ecological security. This study focused on the Jiaodong Peninsula and found that implementing an ecological security pattern restriction scenario could effectively control the spatial form of construction land, avoid excessive dispersion of landscape types, and form a stable and secure ecological pattern.
