How to Read a Destination from Images? Machine Learning and Network Methods for DMOs' Image Projection and Photo Evaluation

Food Tourists and Food Image in a Creative City of Gastronomy in Macao, China

Summary: This study aims to compare food tourists and non-food tourists in Macao, China, in terms of their profiles and behavioral characteristics, and to understand the association between regional cultural components, gastronomic image, and these two groups of tourists. The results showed that there were no significant differences between food tourists and non-food tourists in terms of demographic background or most behavioral patterns. Additionally, the gastronomic image of Macao did not differ significantly for food tourists, except for age and awareness factors. Hong Kong visitors had a stronger image of Macao as a place for Macanese food compared to other respondents.
