Compressive behavior of CFRP-confined steel fiber-reinforced self-compacting lightweight aggregate concrete in square columns

Summary: This study investigates the effects of steel fiber content, CFRP layers, and core concrete compressive strength grade on the mechanical properties of self-compacting lightweight aggregate concrete (SLC) square columns. It is found that the synergistic effect of steel fiber and CFRP can significantly improve the failure mode and mechanical properties of the material. Adding a small number of steel fibers can greatly improve the mechanical properties of the specimens when the number of CFRP layers is small.
