Importance of entropy generation on Casson, Micropolar and Hybrid magneto-nanofluids in a suspension of cross diffusion

S. Mamatha Upadhya et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow, heat, and mass transport of hybrid nanofluid, Casson fluid, and micropolar fluid across a curved stretching sheet. The effects of radiation, cross-diffusion, and magnetic field are also examined. Numerical solutions are obtained and compared with previously published results, revealing that the hybrid nanofluid has a higher temperature profile and the micropolar fluid exhibits higher entropy generation compared to the Casson and hybrid nanofluid. The fluid velocity increases with larger magnetic field and curvature parameter.

Micropolar Dusty Fluid: Coriolis Force Effects on Dynamics of MHD Rotating Fluid When Lorentz Force Is Significant

Quanfu Lou et al.

Summary: This study examines the momentum and thermal transportation in rotating dusty micropolar fluid flux and emphasizes the significance of increasing the volume concentration of dust particles. The governing PDEs are transformed into non-dimensional ODEs using suitable similarity modifications. The results show the impact of various parameters on non-Newtonian fluid and the dusty phase, including axial velocity, temperature, transverse velocity, and micro-rotation distribution.

Numerical simulation of a thermally enhanced EMHD flow of a heterogeneous micropolar mixture comprising (60%)-ethylene glycol (EG), (40%)-water (W), and copper oxide nanomaterials (CuO)

Nehad Ali Shah et al.

Summary: In this study, the hydro-thermal and mass transport characteristics of a non-homogeneous micropolar mixture were numerically analyzed. The results showed that the micropolarity and electrically conducting properties of the nanofluid play a significant role in enhancing its motion. Furthermore, it was observed that the thermophoresis diffusive mechanism can be further enhanced by the presence of an internal heat source in the convective heating process.

Significance of nanoparticles' shape and thermo-hydrodynamic slip constraints on MHD alumina-water nanoliquid flows over a rotating heated disk: The passive control approach

A. S. Sabu et al.

Summary: This study numerically explores the flow of hydromagnetic alumina-water nanoliquid due to a rotating rigid disk, considering different nanoparticle shapes and slip constraints. The modified Buongiorno model is used to model the flow, and the impact of parameters on physical quantities and flow profiles is explained. It is observed that temperature of the nanoliquid increases with hydrodynamic slip parameter and decreases with thermal slip parameter, with platelet-shaped alumina nanoparticles exhibiting the highest drag.
