Recommended and verified stability indicating GC-MS procedures for green separation of quaternary mixture of naphazoline, ephedrine, methylparaben, and naphazoline impurity

Amira M. Hegazy et al.

Summary: A new GC-MS analytical method was developed for the estimation of a vasoconstrictive drug combination, successfully applied to analyze allergic rhinitis treatment drugs. By using ethanol as a solvent and constructing calibration curves with different drug ratios, the method showed optimum linearity for naphazoline nitrate and ephedrine hydrochloride.

Simultaneous HPLC Determination of Clindamycin Phosphate, Tretinoin, and Preservatives in Gel Dosage Form Using a Novel Stability-Indicating Method

Sadaf Sarfraz et al.

Summary: In this study, a reversed-phase HPLC method was developed and validated for the simultaneous detection of clindamycin phosphate, tretinoin, and two preservatives, methylparaben and imidazolidinyl urea. The method showed good separation and met the validation criteria according to the standards of the International Council for Harmonization. It was successfully used to determine the concentrations of these substances in pharmaceutical formulations.
