Approximating Nash Equilibrium in Day-Ahead Electricity Market Bidding with Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning

Yan Du et al.

Summary: This paper studies a day-ahead electricity market bidding problem with multiple GENCO bidders using the MADDPG algorithm to approximate the NE in a Markov game model. The algorithm can find superior bidding strategies for all market participants and increase profits. Compared to traditional model-based methods, MADDPG algorithm shows higher computational efficiency for real-world applications.
