Recent advances on applications of immunosensing systems based on nanomaterials for CA15-3 breast cancer biomarker detection

Ika Kustiyah Oktaviyanti et al.

Summary: Breast cancer is a common and deadly form of cancer in women, and CA15-3 is an overregulated tumor marker in breast cancer. CA15-3 is also overexpressed in other types of cancers. Immunosensors based on nanomaterials and antibodies show promise in detecting CA15-3 biomarkers and can overcome the limitations of conventional methods.

A systematic and meta-analysis review on the diagnostic accuracy of antibodies in the updates serological diagnosis of COVID-19

Arthur Vengesai et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of different serological tests for detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigens. Results showed that CLIA and ELISA tests performed better in terms of sensitivity compared to LFIA. A combined IgG/IgM test seemed to be a better choice in terms of sensitivity than measuring either antibody type independently.

Advanced Approaches to Breast Cancer Classification and Diagnosis

M. Zubair et al.

Summary: Breast cancer is highly heterogeneous, requiring early and advanced molecular diagnostic tools for accurate detection. Currently, only a few biomarkers have been approved by the FDA for assessing breast cancer. Advanced technologies such as portable biosensors hold promise for providing more precise diagnostics and guiding specific treatment methods.

Ultrasensitive molecularly imprinted fluorescence sensor for simultaneous determination of CA125 and CA15-3 in human serum and OVCAR-3 and MCF-7 cells lines using Cd and Ni nanoclusters as new emitters

Delnia Bahari et al.

Summary: An efficient fluorescence immunosensor for the simultaneous measurement of CA125 and CA15-3 tumor markers was fabricated, showing a broad linear range, good reproducibility, and simple operation for clinical diagnosis. This sensor has the potential to be an effective clinical tool for timely screening of breast cancer and can be applied in clinical diagnostics.
