Electrochemical sensing and photocatalytic degradation of 2,4-dinitrophenol via bismuth (III) oxide nanowires

Balwan Singh et al.

Summary: In this study, one-dimensional Bismuth (III) oxide (Bi2O3) nanostructures were used as selective materials for the electrochemical sensing of 2,4-Dinitrophenol (2,4-DNP). The Bi2O3 nanowires successfully degraded 2,4-DNP under visible light in 600 minutes, offering an economical, facile, and low-temperature method for the application of Bi2O3 nanowires in integration devices.

Electrocatalysis of 2,6-Dinitrophenol Based on Wet-Chemically Synthesized PbO-ZnO Microstructures

Mohammed M. Rahman et al.

Summary: In this study, a reliable sensor probe for 2,6-dinitrophenol (2,6-DNP) was developed using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and a PbO-doped ZnO microstructures' electro-catalyst decorated glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Characterization of the synthesized PbO-doped ZnO microstructures was performed using various nanomaterial characterizing tools. The proposed 2,6-DNP sensor probe exhibited high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, and a low detection limit.

Sensitive Detection of Thiourea Hazardous Toxin with Sandwich-Type Nafion/CuO/ZnO Nanospikes/Glassy Carbon Composite Electrodes

Mohammed M. Rahman et al.

Summary: In this study, a voltammetric electrochemical sensor probe was developed for reliable thiourea detection using a copper oxide/zinc oxide nanospikes and Nafion copolymer. Detailed characterizations of the synthesized nanospikes were conducted, and the sensor showed good linearity and sensitivity in detecting thiourea within a dynamic detection range. The fabricated sensor demonstrated reproducibility, stability and reliability in detecting thiourea in real bio-samples. This approach offers a novel way to develop enzyme-free electrochemical sensors for chemical detection in the field of biosensor technology.
