Impact of relative humidity on ethylene removal kinetics of different scavenging materials for fresh produce industry

Spoorthy Shenoy et al.

Summary: The study investigates the ethylene removal kinetics of different scavenging materials under various humidity conditions, finding that potassium permanganate-based scavengers are most effective at all humidity levels. Additionally, materials modified with titanium dioxide and palladium show high efficiency at low humidity levels but significant ethylene desorption at higher humidity levels.

Electrospun Essential oil encapsulated nanofibers for the management of anthracnose disease in Sapota

Gajanan Gundewadi et al.

Summary: This study attempted to control anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides using essential oils encapsulated in nanofibers made of polyvinyl alcohol. The scanning electron microscope analysis revealed the size of the nanofibers, and the blended essential oils demonstrated an additive effect for inhibition of the pathogen.
