Defect-Controlled, Scalable Layer-by-Layer Assembly of High-k Perovskite Oxide Nanosheets for All Two-Dimensional Nanoelectronics

Haena Yim et al.

Summary: This study presents a general strategy for obtaining large-area, defect-controlled high-k dielectric films using scalable layer-by-layer assembly of single-crystalline perovskite oxide nanosheets, which are suitable for all-2D field-effect transistors. By utilizing a layer-by-layer assembly process, multilayered Sr1.8Bi0.2Nb3O10 nanosheet films with high uniformity and low defects were successfully fabricated.

In situ optical and electrical analysis of transient plasmas generated by ns-laser ablation for Ag nanostructured film production

Stefan Andrei Irimiciuc et al.

Summary: Transitioning PLD technique from experimental to industrial use requires complex tools for monitoring deposition processes; LP and OES measurements showed the influence of Ar pressure on ion distribution during PLD of silver films. OES confirmed generation of energetic ions with Ar addition; perturbative effects were observed at pressures above 10 Pa, affecting plasma stability. The correlation between plasma electronic distribution and thin film thickness profile highlights the importance of monitoring and controlling plasma dynamics in thin film deposition.

Semi-reversible collapse of preformed cobalt stearate Langmuir monolayer on water surface

Sarathi Kundu

Summary: The Langmuir monolayer of preformed cobalt stearate molecules exhibits semi-reversible behavior under successive compression-decompression cycles, transitioning from a monolayer to a multilayer structure and back to a monolayer upon decompression. This suggests the presence of long-range connectivity among the preformed cobalt stearate molecules.

Charge transfer properties of imide-functionalized thiazole-based oligomers: Roles of oligomer length, thiophene donor, and fluorine-substitution

Ling Luo et al.

Summary: By designing oligomers with different structures, the effects of oligomer length, thiophene donors, and fluorine substitution on charge transfer properties were studied. The findings showed that increasing oligomer length led to a decrease/increase in IP/EA, with longer oligomers exhibiting both p- and n-type characteristics of organic semiconductors; introducing thiophene rings and substituting with fluorine could enhance the charge transfer properties and improve semiconductor performance.
