Simulation of the dynamics of colloidal mixture of water with various nanoparticles at different levels of partial slip: Ternary-hybrid nanofluid

Wenhao Cao et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow characteristics of ternary-hybrid nanofluids and their influence under temperature difference, nonlinear thermal radiation, and partial slip. The results show that partial slip reduces the friction at the wall, with the lowest decreasing rate observed in free convection. When induced by mixed convection, the increased motion of the three types of nanoparticles leads to optimal mass and heat transfer rates.

Significance of haphazard motion and thermal migration of alumina and copper nanoparticles across the dynamics of water and ethylene glycol on a convectively heated surface

Ying-Qing Song et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of haphazard motion of alumina and copper nanoparticles on temperature distribution and thermo-migration under the phenomenon of transport along a vertical surface. The results show that at high Biot numbers and thermo-migration, with a less thick base fluid, the heat conduction of water exceeds that of ethylene glycol.

Ternary-hybrid nanofluids: significance of suction and dual-stretching on three-dimensional flow of water conveying nanoparticles with various shapes and densities

Thanaa Elnaqeeb et al.

Summary: The study focused on the transport phenomena of water conveying three types of nanoparticles in a rectangular closed domain, where an increase in suction and stretching ratio led to higher vertical velocity and Nusselt number, while decreasing fluid flow, temperature distribution, and local skin friction coefficients. Higher Nusselt numbers were observed in the case of water conveying Copper oxide, Copper, and Silver nanoparticles due to their heavy densities at all levels of suction and stretching ratio.

Effect of SWCNT volume fraction on the viscosity of water-based nanofluids

Hossein Namarvari et al.

Summary: Nanofluids have unique properties due to the addition of nanotubes to base materials, and their viscosity can be estimated using molecular dynamics simulation. The relationship between temperature, viscosity, and volume fraction is highlighted in the study.
