A Fuzzy-Logic Approach Based on Driver Decision-Making Behavior Modeling and Simulation

Abdulla I. M. Almadi et al.

Summary: This study proposes a decision-making model based on different models of driver behavior to ensure road safety and crash reduction. By investigating driver behavior and weather conditions, the study uses fuzzy logic approach to analyze road safety attitude. The experimental results show that the speed limits are based on the participants' responses on different roads and weather conditions. The study results are used to determine speed limits on different roads and weather conditions to reduce the number of crashes.

Spatial-Temporal Traffic Flow Control on Motorways Using Distributed Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning

Kresimir Kusic et al.

Summary: This article introduces a novel distributed spatial-temporal multi-agent variable speed limit system, which dynamically adjusts the length and position of variable speed limit zones to address the suboptimal performance of static VSL zones under changing traffic conditions. By using reinforcement learning, agents learn local and remote policies to maximize travel speed and eliminate congestion.
