Study on oxidation behavior of Al-Mg-Sc alloy

Mingjin Wu et al.

Summary: The high temperature oxidation behavior of Al-Mg-Sc alloy was investigated, and the structure, composition and microstructure evolution near the interface were analyzed. The oxide layer was mainly composed of MgO and small amounts of MgAl2O4, and the phenomenon of grain boundary wetting by the second solid phase was observed.
