Entomological Investigation and Detection of Dengue Virus Type 1 in Aedes (Stegomyia) albopictus (Skuse) During the 2018-2020 Outbreak in Zhejiang Province, China

Qinmei Liu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the species composition and seasonal dynamics of mosquitoes in different habitats in Zhejiang province, China. It confirms the role of Aedes albopictus in the transmission of dengue fever during an outbreak in Wenzhou in 2019. The findings highlight the importance of monitoring vector mosquitoes infected with dengue virus for the prevention and control of dengue fever.
