Summary: Over half of transgender adults aged 50 and older have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV), with transgender-specific IPV being the most common. The presence of any IPV is significantly associated with worse health outcomes. Recommendations include health surveillance and routine screening for IPV among transgender adults aged 50 and older.

The results supported a three-factor model and validated the convergent and divergent validity of the INQ. Thwarted belongingness was significantly associated with self-esteem and social support, while social exclusion was significantly associated with loneliness, depression, entrapment, and defeat.
