Independent research and development, technology accumulation and innovation performance: Evidence from China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry

Summary: This paper examines the technology accumulation threshold effect of independent R&D on the innovation performance of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The results show that moderate levels of technology accumulation are more conducive to independent R&D driving innovation performance, while lower or higher levels weaken the promotion effect.
