EPR dosimetry in glass: a review

Agnieszka Marciniak et al.

Summary: This article presents information on the applicability and planning of EPR dosimetry in glass items, particularly at dose levels typical for radiation accidents. It discusses the fading of radiation-induced spectral components and the effects of light on background spectra and dosimetric signals. The conclusion is that EPR dosimetry in glasses from mobile phones and watches can be used for dose assessment after radiation accidents when considering the fading and obscuring effects of light.
