Quantifying Doubled-Up Homelessness: Presenting a New Measure Using US Census Microdata

Summary: This study provides a new method for measuring doubled-up homelessness in the total population in the United States and reveals significant differences in doubling up by geography, race and ethnicity, marital status, educational attainment, school enrollment, and employment status. The findings suggest that policymakers should consider those experiencing doubled-up homelessness and that the current measure can assist in addressing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Homelessness and health-related outcomes: an umbrella review of observational studies and randomized controlled trials

Summary: Homelessness is associated with detrimental health outcomes, but only two associations meet the criteria for convincing evidence. Racial Inequity and Homelessness: Findings from the SPARC Study
