Genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms and inferring ploidy by amplicon sequencing for polyploid, ploidy-variable organisms

Thomas A. Delomas et al.

Summary: This study presents a strategy for high-throughput genotyping of polyploid organisms, along with a method to infer individual ploidy from sequencing data that is applicable to any ploidy level without prior identification of heterozygous genotypes. By combining these techniques, researchers can infer ploidy and generate ploidy-aware genotypes simultaneously.
