Impact of SMTP Targeting Plasminogen and Soluble Epoxide Hydrolase on Thrombolysis, Inflammation, and Ischemic Stroke

Keiji Hasumi et al.

Summary: SMTP is a group of small molecules derived from the fungus S. microspora, which modulate plasminogen and possess anti-inflammatory effects. Certain SMTP congeners have shown potential in improving ischemic stroke by enhancing fibrinolysis and suppressing hemorrhagic transformation. One SMTP congener is currently under clinical study and development for potential therapeutic use.

Testing the Toxicity of Stachybotrys chartarum in Indoor Environments-A Case Study

Marlena Piontek et al.

Summary: This paper describes a rare case of Stachybotrys chartarum occurrence in an apartment building in the Lubuskie Province in Poland. Ecotoxicological tests and instrumental analytical methods were used to reveal the potential toxicity of the mold on organisms, showing a moderate toxicity level.

Microscale Parallel Synthesis of Acylated Aminotriazoles Enabling the Development of Factor XIIa and Thrombin Inhibitors

Simon Platte et al.

Summary: This study presents a microscale parallel synthetic approach for rapid access to libraries of N-acylated aminotriazoles and screening of their inhibitory activity against FXIIa and thrombin. The synthesized compounds showed potential as starting points for the development of novel antithrombotic drugs, with some exhibiting anticoagulant properties affecting the intrinsic blood coagulation pathway.
