Fabio Conti et al.

Summary: A new species of Anthyllis, endemic to central Apennine and growing in dry pastures on limestone within Abruzzo and Lazio administrative regions in central Italy, is described in this study. This new species, closely related to A. pulchella from south-eastern Europe and Caucasus, can be distinguished by its smaller flowers, light yellow-colored petals, longer bracts, pink-colored calyx, and size of cauline leaves and leaflets. Additionally, the lectotypification of A. pulchella is proposed in this study, based on a specimen preserved at PAD.
