Role of biostimulants in mitigating the effects of climate change on crop performance

Ingudam Bhupenchandra et al.

Summary: Climate change poses a significant threat to global crop production, but biostimulants have shown great potential in combating climate change-induced stresses. Biostimulants can regulate plant growth behavior through molecular alteration and physiological, biochemical, and anatomical modulations. A multi-omics approach can help identify the outcome of biostimulant application comprehensively, aiding in future crop management under changing climate. This review article highlights the strategic potential and prospects of biostimulants in mitigating the adverse impacts of harsh environmental conditions on plants.
