An integrated behavior decision-making approach for large group quality function deployment

Hu-Chen Liu et al.

Summary: Quality function deployment (QFD) is a team-based product development technique that aims to determine critical engineering characteristics based on customer requirements for higher customer satisfaction. This paper proposes a new large group QFD approach based on an extended TODIM method and interval type-2 fuzzy sets, with modifications to consider psychological factors and objective weighting methods. The effectiveness and practicability of the proposed approach are demonstrated through a comparison analysis with previous methods using an electric vehicle product development case study.

Integrated Bayesian networks with GIS for electric vehicles charging site selection

Yan Zhang et al.

Summary: The paper proposes a hybrid approach integrating GIS and BN to deal with the location selection problem of charging stations for EVs. The transportation efficiency is identified as the most important factor in the location selection, more important than social and economic efficiency.

Numerical and experimental simulation of gas-liquid two-phase flow in 90-degree elbow

Rahim Zahedi et al.

Summary: This research investigated the effects of 90-degree horizontal elbows on gas-liquid slug flow patterns using experimental and numerical methods. The results showed that, while the dominant frequency remained unchanged, the signal bandwidth increased with increasing curvature radius of the elbows. Additionally, turbulence intensity behaved smoother with larger curvature radius, and swirling intensity increased with smaller elbow radius.

Energy, exergy, exergoeconomic and exergoenvironmental analysis and optimization of quadruple combined solar, biogas, SRC and ORC cycles with methane system

Rahim Zahedi et al.

Summary: This study introduces a novel energy recovery system that combines different cycle structures to recover energy from hot exhaust gases and convert carbon dioxide for further utilization. The optimized system achieved a exergy efficiency of 61.7% and can generate a significant amount of electricity and methane fuel.

Investigation of the load management and environmental impact of the hybrid cogeneration of the wind power plant and fuel cell

Rahim Zahedi et al.

Summary: A hybrid system of fuel cell-wind turbine was assessed in this paper for supplying the network demand in a renewable resource power plant. The study focused on the benefits and limitations of the system in a region with sustainable wind speed. The results showed that the hybrid system reduced carbon dioxide production by 34.62% and lowered the cost of electrical energy production compared to a single system.
