Exploring the protist microbiome: The diversity of bacterial communities associated with Arcella spp. (Tubulina: Amoebozoa)

This study focuses on the specificity and diversity of microbial communities associated with the testate amoeba Arcella spp. The results show that the associations between Arcella and bacteria are species-specific, and each host Arcella species has a distinct bacterial composition.
