Bader Shirah et al.

Summary: This article reports a unique case of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) diagnosed following vaccination with BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, manifesting as acute optic neuritis in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The temporal association and serological evidence support the link between the vaccine and NMOSD.

Vaccine side-effects and SARS-CoV-2 infection after vaccination in users of the COVID Symptom Study app in the UK: a prospective observational study

Cristina Menni et al.

Summary: This study investigated the safety and effectiveness of the BNT162b2 and ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccines in a UK community setting. The results showed that the frequencies of side effects from these vaccines were lower than reported in clinical trials, and a significant reduction in the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection was observed starting at 12 days after vaccination.
