Summary: In this article, an improved grid synchronization method using a dual enhanced second-order generalized integrator (eSOGI) frequency-locked loop (FLL) for three-phase grid-feeding converters is proposed. The eSOGI is designed to accurately estimate the grid voltage by adjusting the gains based on the positive-sequence component. Additionally, the FLL structure suggests frequency rate limits to improve the grid frequency estimation under voltage sags. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the improved power control performance of the proposed method compared to existing methods.

Summary: This article proposes a novel method for deriving torque and speed curve (TS curve) of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) using the initial state finite element analysis (ISF) to reduce calculation costs. The ISF method drastically reduces the calculation time by neglecting periodic parts. Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly reduces the calculation time and ensures acceptable analysis accuracy. Therefore, the ISF method can be effectively used in the early design stage of motors.

Summary: The dual active bridge (DAB) converter is a suitable solution for high-power density electric vehicle (EV) chargers. However, existing modulation schemes often compromise on achievable zero voltage switching (ZVS) range and can lead to efficiency reductions in various charging configurations. To address these challenges, this article introduces a new modulation scheme that maximizes the ZVS range and ensures system stability and high efficiency.
