Picking dynamic analysis for robotic harvesting of Agaricus bisporus mushrooms

Mingsen Huang et al.

Summary: Button mushrooms are traditionally picked by hand, but robotic harvesting is being explored as a labor-saving alternative. Tests showed that a bending motion was the most effective picking method for robots, especially when using a vacuum picking end-effector. This study suggests that further development of the vacuum picking end-effector could lead to a successful automated mushroom picking system in the future.
