Formulation and characterization of leflunomide/diclofenac sodium microemulsion base-gel for the transdermal treatment of inflammatory joint diseases

Eight formulations were prepared and the optimized formula was incorporated into the gel, showing potent antipruritic efficacy in atopic dermatitis induced lesions in mice. This suggests that HHCL solid lipid nanoparticles transdermal gel could be a potential alternative to traditional oral use for the delivery of HHCL.
