The Prognostic Significance of the Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index in Colorectal Cancer Patients

Shunsuke Doi et al.

Summary: This study retrospectively investigated the prognostic impact of the geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The results showed that patients with a lower GNRI had poorer overall survival and higher non-cancer death rate. The GNRI was also associated with age, tumor characteristics, and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level.

Summary: This study explores the prognostic role of the pretreatment geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) in patients with esophageal cancer. The results show that lower pretreatment GNRI is associated with poor overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with esophageal cancer.
