LncRNA H19inhibits high glucose-induced inflammatory responses of human retinal epithelial cells by targetingmiR-19b to increaseSIRT1expression

Rong Luo et al.

Summary: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication of diabetes mellitus involving inflammatory responses. In this study, the roles of lncRNA H19, miR-19b, and SIRT1 in the progression of DR were explored using ARPE-19 cells under high-glucose conditions. The results showed that H19 and SIRT1 were reduced, while miR-19b was increased in HG conditions, indicating their involvement in regulating inflammatory cytokines. The H19/miR-19b/SIRT1 axis plays a key role in HG-induced inflammatory response, offering potential new targets for DR treatment.
