Summary: Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a cause of pulmonary hypertension (PH) and requires invasive measurement of the mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) for diagnosis. 4D flow MRI can provide non-invasive parameters to estimate mPAP. This study found that vortex duration is correlated with mPAP and could be a useful parameter for non-invasively estimating mPAP in patients suspected of having CTEPH.

Comparison between thermodilution and Fick methods for resting and exercise-induced cardiac output measurement in patients with chronic dyspnea
