Delicate regulation of IL-1β-mediated inflammation by cyclophilin A

Wenxian Yang et al.

Summary: The inflammatory response is regulated by complex and delicate mechanisms, with Cyclophilin A (CypA) playing a role in promoting both inflammation activation and resolution by affecting IL-1 beta production and the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).

Acacetin inhibits RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis and LPS-induced bone loss by modulating NFATc1 transcription

Mingchao Jin et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated for the first time that acacetin inhibited osteoclastogenesis, bone resorption activity, and related gene expression by modulating multiple signaling pathways, suggesting its potential therapeutic effects for preventing osteoporosis and other osteolytic disorders.

Astragalus Polysaccharides Attenuate Ovalbumin-Induced Allergic Rhinitis in Rats by Inhibiting NLRP3 Inflammasome Activation and NOD2-Mediated NF-κB Activation

Jiangtao Xu et al.

Summary: Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) have anti-inflammatory effects on ovalbumin-induced allergic rhinitis in rats by alleviating nasal symptoms, reducing inflammatory cytokine levels, inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation, and blocking NF-kappa B activation. These findings suggest that APS may serve as a potential therapeutic agent for allergic rhinitis.

Eosinophilic Esophagitis: A Review

Amanda Muir et al.

Summary: Eosinophilic esophagitis is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disease of the esophagus that affects both children and adults. Treatments include proton pump inhibitors, topical steroids, elemental diet, and empirical food elimination, with esophageal dilation reserved for patients with symptomatic esophageal narrowing.

Agastache rugosa ethanol extract suppresses bone loss via induction of osteoblast differentiation with alteration of gut microbiota

Soyeon Hong et al.

Summary: This study focused on the therapeutic effect of Agastache rugosa on postmenopausal osteoporosis and revealed that it can modulate bone status through promoting osteoblast differentiation and increasing calcium deposits. Results also showed that treatment with Agastache rugosa extract could suppress bone strength loss, elevate osteogenic markers, and alter the diversity of gut microbiota in an ovariectomized mouse model. These findings suggest that Agastache rugosa could be a potential candidate for treating postmenopausal osteoporosis.
