Recent Advances in the Growth and Characterizations of SILAR-Deposited Thin Films

Ho Soonmin

Summary: The preparation and characterization of thin films, including metal sulfide, metal selenide, metal oxide, and metal telluride, using the successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method were investigated. The properties of the films were found to be influenced by the deposition cycles, rinsing times, immersion times, and precursor concentrations. The resulting films showed suitable band gap values and high absorption coefficients, making them suitable for solar cell applications with high power conversion efficiency.

A biomimetic conductive super-foldable material

Guangtao Zan et al.

Summary: This study presents a super-foldable conductive carbon material with layered nanofiber network structures, capable of withstanding 1,000,000 times repeated true-folding without damage and conductivity fluctuations. The unique structure of the material can disperse stress and prevent nanofibers from directly facing 180 degrees folding during true-folding.
