The Influence of Vicarious Fear-Learning in Infecting Reactive Action Inhibition

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the impact of negative stimuli on action control. The results showed that a previously neutral stimulus conditioned through vicarious fear learning can influence our ability to inhibit actions in a similar way as innate negative stimuli. Furthermore, the study found that impulsivity traits can predict this effect.

This study aims to address the paradox of symptom remission and functional recovery, describe the concept, connotation, and characteristics of psychosocial functioning impairment in depressed patients, and emphasize its importance in depression treatment to promote research and clinical applications related to psychosocial functioning impairment in depressed patients for achieving functional recovery.
