The profile of Rafsanjan Cohort Study

Hamid Hakimi et al.

Summary: Rafsanjan is a unique city in Iran, known for its large human-made pistachio jungle and the second largest copper mine, as well as its location on the opium trade route. Barriers and facilitators to diabetic retinopathy screening within Australian primary care

Matthew J. G. Watson et al.

Summary: This study identified key factors affecting the delivery of diabetic retinopathy (DR) screening in Australian general practices, including barriers such as costs of equipment, time constraints, lack of skills, and unawareness of Medicare incentives. Enabling strategies to promote DR screening in primary care include increasing access to continuing professional development for GPs, subsidising equipment costs, and appointing a champion to take responsibility for retinal photography.
